2017 Whitehawk Floor Concerns?

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and and have a question about my floor... We just bought a new 2017 28 dsbh last week and immediately took it out on and 8 day trip. We're in the middle of our trip now and have noticed that the floor in the kitchen has developed some squeekiness and feels spongy compared to the rest of the trailer. What concerns me most is that I can now see a seam in the floor where I assume the two pieces of plywood meet. This was not present when we brought the tt home. I haven't seen this in other trailers and it makes me nervous. For reference, my buddy as his family are camping next to us in a brand new Winnebago Minnie and his floor feels much firmer and quieter than ours...

We did our homework and really thought the jayco stood out from a quality perspective but now I'm not so sure. This is our first trip out and I've already fixed two water leaks under the sink (bad o-rings on the fitting leading up to the faucet), a leak behind the awning (gutter seam not sealed correctly) and now the floor. The leaks were a minor annoyance but the floor has me very concerned.

I called Jayco and they weren't much help, just recommended taking it back to the dealer to have them check it. So, should I be concerned or is this normal for jayco whitehawk flooring?

Sorry if my first post comes across as negative, but we're feeling a little disappointed at the moment.

Thanks in advance for your perspective.

Chris

Congratulations on your new White Hawk and welcome to the forum.

Begin by checking with your dealer. For warranty work it's almost always necessary to have the repairs done through a dealer. If that won't work for you, then Jayco might authorize the work to be done by an independent RV repair company.

IIRC, the early White Hawks had a similar floor issue. I thought I read on this site that Jayco had changed the White Hawk flooring construction. Maybe they did not.

They did change to plywood floors a few years back and this is the first I have heard of a floor issue on the newer models. Could be a where two sheets join are not joined properly creating the noise and soft spot?
