2018 Eagle oxidation

Just received word from CW that they have the go ahead to repaint front cap due to oxidation and cracking. Has anyone had this done in the past? I would like to get an idea on the process and how long it normally takes. Any questions I should ask when discussing with CW? Thanks in advance.

I was one of the original owners to have the front cap oxidation cared for by JAYCO. The proper process is to sand down the GEL-Coat to the fiberglass and then prep the fiberglass and finally paint.

Not sure a to what color you have, mostly the dark colors are the most affected. If you have a dark color and find that it is rather hot on the inside of the TT from a dark cap, you can do what we did and have them repaint the cap with the light color of the TT's side. The cap temperature went from 200 degrees in the noon sun down to 119 degrees. A lot cooler in the TT's front storage/bedroom. JAYCO approved the color change, but would not warranty the paint job, but I did not care as the JAYCO dealer paint group has a 5 year warranty on their paint jobs. A win win situation. They had my TT for about 2 weeks. The picture below I after the paint job was done.

VERIFY, that they are going to sand down the ENTIRE front cap prior to painting and not just the affected area.
