2018 Redhawk questions about how the heater functions

I am asking for input as to the function of the heating system. It is not working at present. What I have learned, and please correct me if I'm wrong, is that the heater runs off of the auxiliary battery. I understand it will not work if the battery is not fully charged, and that the battery is kept charged either, by shore power, or when the engine is running. One question is, how is the power supplied that moves the air? Does the fan for the A/C play any part in this?
If the battery is fully charged, propane on of course, shouldn't the blower and heat function? Any advice anyone may have is appreciated.
