a/c not working

Hi all, got an a/c cooling issue. 2011 Jayco 26bh with an airxcel a/c unit on top.
turned it on this weekend and it started to leak water inside the camper where the filter sheet is. turned off unit.cleaned up the mess and turned it on again.
seemed like it was running ok but no cold air.also no more water coming out.
outside very little water running down from top of camper. Could not hear the comp. come on and off when playing with thermostat. would low Freon cause this to happen? do not know last time it was checked. Don`t know where to start looking, any help please?

Thanks

First off all don't play with the TH for cooling. If the compressor went through his cycle the High-side is still under pressure until the evaporator get warmer because the Fan will blow air through it (pressure release) then the compressor will start. There can be no blockage in the discharge of the evaporator. Otherwise ice will built up and can drip inside the RV. Have the A/C fan on high and let the TH and A/C do his work. If there's a problem then you have to find the cause. But you have to know how they are working.

Also check the drain holes on the roof unit. If they're blocked, condensation will back up in the pan and drip through the interior screen. The unit may not be a serviceable unit. Most are sealed from the factory and you can't add freon.

Also, you can buy a Schrader valve kit that is self-piercing to add freon...but I wouldn't breach the system if it were me. Besides, if it needs freon, you'll have to repair the leak first.
