Air pressure on camper tires
What is proper air pressure for my 27RLS. The pressure on sticker on trailer says 65lbs. I Was told by service center rep that it should be less than that but wouldn't tell me a proper air pressure. I don't want to blow a tire. What would be a good proper pressure.

I would go by the sticker on the trailer as long as the rig has that tire.

Look on the actual tire sidewall and fill to max psi listed.

I fill to what the sticker says, 65 on mine too. I have been told that UNDER inflation is the #1 killer of tires, I check mine every time it's going to leave the driveway and insure each is at 65 psi.

If you can get your trailer weighed with individual wheel weights you can use the tire manufacturer's load/inflation table to find the proper inflation. Otherwise you should use the maximum pressure shown on the sticker.

Each unit will have a sticker and sidewall info unique to the unit. My DSRL has Trailer King 205/75 R14 with max on both sticker and sidewall of 50 psi. I keep them at 50.

Sidewall Max is the tire manufactures recommended PSI for max load on their tire they made, go with the tire sidewall.

Yes go with the sidewall and not the sticker. The sticker doesn't know what tire is on the trailer...

Hello, Newbie here and posted in welcome mat yesterday. Picked up our 2016 Jayco White hawk 33RSKS Saturday and am currently at local KOA for a few days to check out camper real time before long trip. Check air pressure in all four tires early this morning and were at 55 to 56 psi cold. Tires are Rainier STs 15 inch 8pr load range D. States 65 psi load max cold on tire I asked the person doing our PDI Saturday what psi the tires were at and he said 65 psi.. Should have checked them myself.. I am in north Dallas now and of course it is hot.. Should I maxx tires to 65 cold or is 55 psi ok to drive home for about 35 miles?

If you haven't moved the TT yet I would put the pressure at 65 PSI which would be the cold pressure

X2. The tire manufacturer's pressures should be used - stamped on the sidewall. Just be sure to check pressures when your tires are cold. The pressure will increase when they are warm.
That said - I like to check my tire pressures when I pull off the road in a rest area so I can see how much of an increase in pressure the tires have when they are heated up from travel. That way, if I have to add air while I'm traveling, I have a reference point of how much pressure should be in them when they are warm.
