Attwood hot water heater problem

Well we are camping for spring break and having trouble with hot water.
When the hot water heater is on lp i get a poor flame it sounds like a car running out of gas. Took the burner out and checked for a restriction and cleaned the heat sensor. When i put it back same thing i slid the little air intake adjuster almost closed and started to get a better flame.
It is no where it was so dont know what is the problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks
Robert

I wonder if you have a spider web/nest in the burner pipe?

Closing up the adjuster to get a good flame, tells me you are not getting enough gas. Is there any way to tell if the solenoid valve is fully opening?

If I recall in my owner’s manual pack, was an Atwood manual. Do you have yours? Mine is in storage with the TT.

X2

Too much oxygen for the amount of gas.
Valve as stated or maybe a kinked hose/tube.

Keep us posted on solution.

Best regards,
Doug

Well checked for restriction in line and found nothing. Took out the orfice and checked found no problem.
When i put it all back together and adjusted the part that slides it was different than last night but not where it was when we bought it.
So just gonna use it and worry about it next week. This is spring break gotta have fun!!!
Thanks for the replies i appreciate it.
