Atwood MPD 93756 thermostat repair/replacement

Last weekend was our fourth trip in our brand new 2018 Eagle 330RSTS, and the first time we used the electric option on the hot water heater. After one tank the hot water heater is no longer working, not on electric nor on gas. With what troubleshooting we were able to do, it appears the thermostat is shot.

Can we replace this ourselves? If not, can an electrician or non-RV repair place do it? I've called about fifteen places in the last hour, mobile and service centers, and nobody has availability until July 23 - we leave for a ten-day trip on July 12 with this trailer.
