Aux 12v power doesn't work

The cigarette lighter type socket under the switch panel by the door, not the one by the TV.

I bought a car charger for the computer, figure it would be nice when boondocking to use. Plugged it in and didn't work. Got out the multi meter and its dead. Pulled the switch plate, and the power panel above and everything looks normal. Everything else in the panel works.

The socket by the TV works fine.

Any suggestions? Is there a separate fuse for this? The fuse panel doesn't list it. Called dealer and they are closed for the winter.

I don't have a fast answer, but if you contact Jayco Customer Service (have your VIN ready) they can address your question plus e-mail you an electrical schematic. Jayco may also refer you to another factory approved warranty center as well if required.

Wow...didnt know dealers closed down for the winter? I know it is slow...but interesting they close.

Jayco happily sent me the schematics so I knew which fuse I was dealing with. As RE says - I would start there. Obviously it is possible something happened to the wire along the way and will require a more extensive fix - but hopefully it is something simple.

Thanks, called the number, and a tech tried to help. Its got to be a bad connection to the outlet, because the wires it comes off of have power. I haven't got back to it yet.

Many RV places close for the winter up here.

Kenelz,

Sounds like it might be at the top of your RV dealer's warranty claim list once the snow melts and they open for the season.
