Bathroom fan upgrade

Has anyone upgraded the cheap bathroom fan without replacing the entire unit? I have a 355mbqs fifth wheel. The fan is worthless.

Check out the Vortex II Multi-Speed Fan. It is a simple install. Everything done inside. No cutting of the exterior roof.

I haven't done mine YET. It is on my 'to do' list before we start the season.

The Vortex 1 or2. There are a few others too Google " Rv vent fans" or check out Camping World site or Amazon. But as said above Vortex is the only one that can be installed from inside from my knowledge.

Thanks for the responses. Trying to decide to pull the cheap unit or install a new fan.

Hunter-

You may want to take a look at the Fantastic Fan. Pretty easy install and it does wonders to move air out (or in) of your RV. Installed mine 2 years ago and absolutely love it! Keeps TT cool when needed (open window at other end of TT) and takes any extra smoke or fumes out quickly. Mine has a thermostat....set it and forget it.

Happy RVing,
Jeff

x2 Bought one to replace the cheap factory unit on our Eagle, just haven't had good enough weather yet to get up there and do it.

I changed out the tiny stock exhaust fan with a Fantastic Fan, but it was a lot of work. Had to change everything, including the housing. That required removing all the old sealant around the fan housing from the roof, removing the old fan assembly, and fitting and sealing the new fan assembly.

If I would have known about the Vortex fan at the time, I'd have gotten one of those instead. I think the Vortex fan moves about the same amount of air as the Fantastic Fan, and for a lower cost- cheaper fan, and no need to buy a tube or two of Dicor sealant.

Might depend on how many days/year you use the unit. Week-ends only, go cheap. Lots of nights in the RV? Bite the bullet and go with the best.
