Question Bed supports and water tank repair questions

Hi all,

I have two issues currently on my camper and am hoping for some easy ideas on how to fix them.

I own a 1998 Jayco Cascade Heritage. While on my last camping trip we laid down in the rear bed and one of the two support poles that clips onto the bumper bent pretty good. I bent it back as much as I could, but being that it did bend I dont trust its stability. I reached out to Jayco and a couple repair shops who both advised that parts for my camper are no longer available/manufactured.

My second problem is the water tank. The plastic(rubber?) tubing that goes from the filler hole down to the tank is rotted out and thus I am unable to store water in the tank.

Does anyone have any creative ideas on how to fix either of these issues? Jayco hasn't been of much help, so I'm not 100% sure where to go on this. The water is a small problem that I'm not too worried about, but I can't not trust the bed.

Thanks in advance!

For the support I would head to Home Depot/Lowes and buy a piece of electrical conduit pipe, they look maybe 1/2", measure before purchase, cut to length then flatten the ends with a hammer and bend the proper angle with some vice grips and you should be good to go

On the water pipe to your storage tank. Can you access the top of the tank? If you can then you can remove the old pipe which is rubber or plastic and go to Lowes/Home/Menards or Ace and get some flexible plastic pipe and a couple of automotive type clamps. If you cannot access the sidewall where the pipe come in you can take off the outside plate and connect the new hose. You may have to take some panels off to get to the tank. If it is under the RV then you may have to crawl under to make the connections and feed to new hose into the rv.

Here are pictures of the fill line on the water tank (the green/white one) you can see how bad of shape it's in. It comes in the camper under the sink and inside there it looks fine.

Here is what I think you need.

https://www.amazon.com/1-25-Fill-Con...ater+tank+fill

it looks like a direct replacement for what you have.
