"Bee" fuddled:

I have a yellow jacket bees nest between the refrigerator roof vent and the top of the fridge. I used Raid and Spectracide Sprays to no avail. Finally this morning I sprinkled Seven Powder around the vent. Then I set up my Shop-Vac on the roof and as those bees started coming out of the vent or going in, they got sucked up. I must have caught a thousand bees. There are no more bees coming in or out of the vent.

I am going to have to remove the vent and screen to remove the nest. It looks like a fairly easy job. I got my fingers crossed.

JFlightRisk and I were just talking about the dust yesterday. That is the ticket for stubborn nests.

Remove the top, then cut the screen. You can "weave" it back together with wire ties or tie wire. It just has to be tight enough to keep leaves and birds from getting down the opening. I use to cut them to install a cooling fan at the top.
