Best exterior cleaning and protecting materials?
We have a 2016 Jayco White Hawk. What do you folks feel are the best cleaning chemicals for the exterior walls? Is there a protectant out there that would help from uv fading...especially the decales?
How about the roof, what is the best thing to clean and then protect that?
While I am at it, what do you guys use to lube the slide rails and slide gaskets?
Thanks so much in advance for your thoughts!
Tom

303 aerospace for decals, slide gaskets, tires, etc.
Nothing needed for the roof
Use car wash to clean your trailer

Nothing will really protect the decals ... they are kind of cheap... for washing waxing I use this... I think Amazon has it cheaper..

Roof cleaning
When we purchased our WH we called Jayco and asked them what to use on the roof. They said only Dawn dishwashing liquid or Murphy's oil soap.
For the sides I use car wash that doesn't have wax in it and dry it off with lucas oil fast wax to get the water spots off of it.

Roof twice a year, I wash with Dawn dish saop, and inspect the sealant for wealthering.
Walls I like to spot spray black spots and bugs before wetting out with"Spray Power" by Crown. Followed up with a liquid carwash soap with wax. I use a car wash brush and a bucket.
Gaskets, 303 Aerospace at least once a year.
Tires nothing, except check the tire pressure before each towing (always filled to max pressure).
I always keep the inside clean to discourage the mice from visiting.

I use Dawn all over the TT. Seems to work great. And as mentioned, 303A for the gaskets and weather strips. LA's Totally Awesome for the black streaks.

Work from the top down, Dawn with warm water on the roof. When you are done, inspect the sealant around all roof penetrations.
Make sure you scrub the gutters well. I don't use dish soap on the exterior as it strips the wax. Use a good automotive cleaner as others have suggested. I polish, then wax mine using a good buffer. Keeping a good wax coating on the exterior is the best defense against oxidation.
303 aerospace is your friend for seals, a/c and propane covers. I use a silicon lubricant on the side rails as lithium grease traps dirt.

Wash mine with simple green, then waxed with McGuire's cleaner wax. Wash again after every long pull, then wax the front at least once a year to help with the removal of dead bugs after each pull.
Our saving grace is that our camper sits inside when not in use.
