Bi-Fold Stove Cover

My bi-fold stove cover will not stay up. It ends up covering the back 2 burners when folded.
Anyone have this problem?
We bought it with this issue and the previous owners used a mini bungi cord to hold it back.

What range and what cover do you have. I have atwood range and the camco cover which stands up against the wall when range is being used. Need to screw the cover in the correct place, to far back and it won't open all the way. If you have the screws into the counter at the back of the range...remove the screws...stand the cover up against the wall and mark where the screws need to be to allow it to open all the way.
