Can't Open Slide

Greyhawk 31DS There are two drawers next to the bed and one of them will not close enough for the slide to clear. Obviously, something fell behind the drawer but I can't get enough of my arm in to pull it out.

I would rather not cut a hole in the cargo area ceiling. Does anyone know if it might be accessible if I remove the plywood platform under the bed ?

Thanks

Dave

Maybe try removing the drawer first.

I think mcfarmall was being a little tongue-in-cheek, but probably the only way to resolve this, short of the hole in the platform, is to remove the drawer. Are the two drawers side-by-side? Perhaps, if so, you can remove the other one and reach behind the "stuck" drawer to remove the offending stuff. The drawers should be able to be removed from the front simply by pulling and moving them around a bit because there are probably stops near the front that are keeping the drawer from coming all the way out. As a last stop, you might give Jayco a call and ask them for some help with this situation.

I dont think he was.. there is a little catch under the drawer that when pressed allows you to remove it from the rail.

Any idea what might be stuck from that drawer? In most automotive stores you can pick up a flexible push button claw on the tool rack. I keep one in my truck for certain situations. They are about 18-20" long and pliable spring like material which makes getting into hard to reach places a snap. Maybe you can push it enough out of the way to get it closed for the slide to pass. Maybe even retrieve it.

If your drawer has a metal guide rail you can flip the release and pull the drawer out. The owners manual may show how to operate the release.
