Caulking on edge of TT?

I did the roof seams with dicor today & washed the TT after. I noticed loose caulking that was disintegrating while rubbing the sponge over the edges. This is the black plastic vertical pieces that are on the corners of the TT. What is it glue or caulk? What would be the fix? Fiberglass walls BTW.

It's probably Butyl tape. The excess gets squeezed out when the screws are tightened down and that excess will degrade over time but what's underneath should still be good. I guess you could trim it off using something plastic. My vertical corners have it too and I just ignore it. A pic might be helpful to make certain.

The loose caulking was very minimal & one piece I pulled away was flexible to the touch, Butyl tape was my guess also.
