Changing to LED lighting in side the trailer.

I was considering this and was wondering if anyone had already had success...

Welcome to the forum.

Yes! Lots of owners have switched interior lights to LED bulbs. Usually to reduce battery drain when dry camping (boondocking).

Amazon.com: Cutequeen LED Car Lights Bulb 10PCS White T15 42-SMD 42smd 906 579 901 904 908 909 912 914 915 916 917 918 920 921 922 923 926 927 928 939 (pack of 10): Automotive

That is just one example. There are lots more. If you post more specific information on your trailer and which bulbs you wish to change to LED, you may get a response from someone that has made the switch.

Check out M4 Products may not be the cheapest, but a huge selection, and 2 day replacement service on one I had go bad.

I've done this on both TT's we've owned. This weekend had the first LED failure. I bought from eBay and made a point to get spares since they were cheap.

Its a quick and inexpensive upgrade. I bought them on eBay too. FYI- scroll through the eBay listings and you will usually find the same bulbs listed by the same seller several times with some at lower prices. That info. was provided to me by someone here two years ago and it helped me save a little money.

If you search on this forum you will find many recommendations for particular bulbs. As far as I'm concerned, most important is color temperature. Different people have different preferences...determine yours before you spend a bunch of money. I grew up with regular incandescent bulbs, will not spend even 10 cents on a daylight white bulb or anything half-way close, but that's just me.

I'm with Chuck, kinda picky about color. I've found about 3000K is a good color for me. It's usually called "warm white" but I don't buy based on description. What's sold as warm white might look like sky blue to me.

HELP lighting issue

We have a 2011 jayco pinnacle 34rlts. We are switching all the lights to LED. The light above the sink bulbs blew so we bought new bulbs. Put them in and nothing. We took down the light fixture above the kitchen sink and installed the LED bar. Hit the switch and nothing. All the fuses appear good. Does anyone know where or how this is wired? Is there a lighting schematic?

The LED bulbs are polarity sensitive I think. Try switching the wires around for those lights.

It's hard wired will that make a difference? Also is there any access to this area without taking the bottom off the cabinet?

Just to ask (because we have all done this), have you checked the fuses? You might also use a tester and see if you are getting power at the fixture.

I had a switch fail. It was a rocker type that we've had in both TT's we've owned. It was obvious the switch was the problem in our case. With a VOM I'd check the fuse, then the light fixture and switch for 12v.
I've seen fuses that looked good but weren't.
I've replaced a bad bulb with another bad bulb and then spend more time looking elsewhere for the problem.
These little switches look nice but look a little flimsy inside, just cause it goes "click" doesn't mean it's gonna give you 12v.

Yes we checked the fuses they're good. This light is hard wired above the sink with no access to the wires other then where they connect to the fixture. Does anyone know where these wires hook into? Or why it's not working?
