Changing Toilets

Hello All!

My wife and I recently purchased a 2003 Eagle Cove Park Model already in a park and connected to the water and sewer system. I have a question regarding the toilet.

The manual refers to the model toilet that we have, Aqua Magic 4 and it also states this regarding the residential option:

RESIDENTIAL TOILET (OPTION)
The residential toilet in your trailer will operate and should be maintained the same as a household toilet. With the residential toilet, your park trailer is not equipped with holding tanks. You will need to consult with your dealer or the park owners for guidance in hooking up to the supplied sewer system.

So in the park where we are, the setup is as follows:
Black water/waste collects in Blackwater tank which is emptied when 2/3 to 3/4 full by opening the valve to evacuate it into the sewer system. Graywater release is left open so that grey water can flow freely into the sewer.

For both my wife and I with bad backs, I wanted to put a much taller toilet into the RV and was thinking of the Aqua Magic Residence model (18 inches) as shown here:
Aqua-Magic® Residence | Products | Thetford

Being new to RVs, would this toilet fit? I only assume so because it was apparently, in 2003, offered as an option in my model. I have not been able to get definitive word from various outlets selling it or any other information in my user manual regarding applicable replacements. Only that the "residential toilet" was an option. Anyone have other thoughts on higher profile and better toilet options?

Thanks in advance!!

I would not use that toilet in your rig unless you had the pipes changed to bypass the holding tanks.

They make high rv style toilets. May be a less expensive option.

Thanks for that advice, so you think this:
Aqua Magic V Hand Flush | Thetford

Would this be adaptable to the tank system hookup the park uses? Thanks,

Maybe this will work for your current toilet. It'll fit if the bolt configuration matches. I installed this in my rig and it's a nice boost for the toilet.

I mis-understood your question. You do NOT have holding tanks in your park model correct and just want to go to a higher toilet?
If that is the case, the low and high profile look like they have the same dimensions from back to front. Should work.

I highly recommend the small upcharge for the spray attachment.

Have you thought of a toilet riser seat? There are bolt on's and ones that sit on your existing with tabs that keep them from sliding off.

Your initial information is contradictory. Either you don't have holding tanks or you do. Your initial post indicates both.

"With the residential toilet, your park trailer is not equipped with holding tanks."
"Black water/waste collects in Blackwater tank."

Only one of these can be true.

I don't see any problem with having a residential toilet with holding tanks. Dumping the tank more often is the only difference.
