Cover for hot water tank lid on the outside of RV’s

Good day. The little tab that holds the door closed on the outside cover for the hot water and gas burners snap off when pulling to hard on it .can someone tell me how to fix it or replace it.I put tape there for now to hold the cover closed for now. Thank you

Any rv store will have replacement latches.
