Cracks in front cap

I have developed some cracks in the front cap, one over each clearance light recess and three on the passenger side a inch away from wear it meets the side wall on my 2014 321 Premiere.
Can they be repaired without removing the front cap? Anyone else have this issue and have had a successful repair?

I had many cracks in the gelcoat on my Eagle. I didn't discover them until I washed it after our first trip. Jayco covered it with a new cap, it's good as new, (well, better actually) and I'm a happy camper!

Has anyone with this condition, who had a unit that was out of warranty, had it fixed? If you did it yourself, what did you do and if you took it to the dealer what did they do and what was the cost?

Man, I was hoping Jayco didn't have this issue. I had the front cap on our last Cedar Creek changed or fixed 3 times. I sold it with cracks. Just wouldn't quit. I hope yall all get your stuff resolved.

We had the front cap crack on our 2012 HT 26.5 RLS and Jayco replaced it rather than repairing it. Sorry to hear about yours, ours only had one crack in the running light above it on the driver's side.

One thing I'm curious about on the Jayco cap, and something that they never did figure out on my cedar creek, is WHY are they cracking. They shouldn't, ever. Never had this problem before on previous rigs. And usually the famous company response is "we haven't had this issue before, or, that's the first we've heard of it", as if it's never happened, while at the same time you're communicating with several others on forums that are dealing with the same thing. So, BS, it's happened, several times, and obviously is still happening.

Yes, I would like know too. If you do a search you will find cracking is not unique to any one brand. I would like to know what causes it to crack and will it crack again after the repair? I thinking there may be only a couple manufactures of front and rear caps.

There is only a hand full of suppliers that make the caps. Can't remember their company names. Some companies make their own, but they are few and far between. It is definitely not unique to any one brand as you said. See it on several lines.

Some who have had cap cracks have found that there were cracks/breaks in the forward frame from flexing. Cracks in Lippert frames are not unusual. I would have the forward frame inspected by a qualified frame person.

I had cracks in my front cap but they were only in the gel coat. Jayco had them repaired at a local fiber glass company.

Has anyone with this problem had it fixed other than through warranty? Did anyone who had this problem decide to just let it go? If so, did you have any reoccuring problems (like water leakage?).

I have a 2" crack in the gelcoat of the passenger side clearance light. Discovered while washing when it was 4 months out of warranty. Dealer said to drill a small hole at end of crack and take it to a fiberglass shop. I drilled and sealed the hole and crack with a marine sealant. Haven't touched it since and it is still in the same condition as when I discovered it. This was over two years ago. It is not noticeable unless you are looking for it.
