Deoxidizing fiberglass trailer

Hi all: Does anyone have any thoughts on how often to deoxidize a fiberglass trailer? Every year in Arizona the cleaners tell me to it needs to be deoxidized before it can be waxed. Is it just a cash grab or what? Thanks in advance.

I live in Indiana and my camper is stored outdoors at a facility. The camper is going into its 8th year [fiberglass] and I noticed last year that the sun side had a somewhat noticeable deoxidized look to it. I applied this https://www.amazon.com/3M-Marine-Res...s%2C199&sr=8-3 and it cleared it right up. I realize now that this will have to be done once a year here. I would bet in Arizona it would be 10 times as bad. I did it by hand and not looking forward to doing it again, lol.

Once it starts, it is almost impossible to stop it completely IMO. Waxing the unit on a regular basis will help, but the process is not fun by any means. Our older Class C had oxidized when we bought it, and I fought it for the entire time we owned it. It's almost a FT job. GL
