Dometic awning will not extend

My Dometic 9100 power awning will not extend out. When I hit the switch to extend it out, I can hear a click at the awning motor. Same when I hit retract. The switch seems to be ok. These are the steps I have taken so far:
1. 15 amp fuse is good, replaced it anyway.
2. All other 12 volt items are working.
3. Attempted to “assist” it out while DW held the switch.
4. Tapped the motor with a wrench (like getting a car starter to work)
5. Drank several adult beverages and cursed.

I am unable to check the voltage at the motor because I have no access to it because the awning is closed.

I hoping someone can think of something I may have missed. There were no issues with the awning until today. I’m guessing the motor is bad.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Isn't there a plug on top of the motor cover that you remove so you can use a socket with a power drill?

Nope. There are two allen wrench screws that you can take off to retract the awning if the motor goes bad when extended. I suppose I could do that to extend it, but what I have researched so far it looks a little tricky.

My son had the same thing happen with the same steps and symptoms. Turned out to be a dead motor. He was able to find a used on one Ebay, and replacement was not too bad. We did it in about an hour. One issue you can run into is the rivets - gotta buy special rivets. Hope you have a pop rivet tool. There are a couple of videos on YouTube.

Good luck!
