Dometic Fridge Quit Cooling- how to reset?

I have a 2016 Jayfeather with a Dometic RM2451.
We went camping a couple weeks ago, and plugged fridge in before our trip. When we got to our campsite just 10 minutes away, we plugged in, and i noticed the fridge felt hot. Opened the door to the fridge and it definitely was not very cold if at all.

The lights come on the front of the unit, and check light does not come on.

the pilot lights, but never ignites the fridge, and it doesnt ever get cold when running on electric.

Is there a way to make a jump wire to reset the fridge?

New thermister?

Anyone have advice for me who knows nothing?

haha thanks

I’d suggest 2 things.
1) Search YouTube for diagnostic vids, you should find several.
2) do a search for your model number and service or owners manual.

I’ve had a couple of issues with my Norcold and found helpful vids and a service manual online. A nice thing about an RV fridge is there’s almost no rocket science involved.
Your prob could be something really simple and cheap like the thermistor.
Worst case would be a coolant leak.
You might trying unplugging the fridge from AC and 12V, let it sit 30 min or so then try it again. I don’t expect that to help but for an hour’s effort why not?
On my Norcold I can unplug the thermistor and the fridge will cool at its max rate. YouTube has vids showing how to check the thermistor with a VOM, much faster Way to check.
Could also be the control board.
Good luck! Report what you find.

I've read the manual, and it says to take to a Dometic dealer. Dometic dealer is 30 miles away, so would require me to hitch up, drop off, wait 4 days for quarantine, then the service dept can take a look at it. Right now they are 10 days out, so soonest i could drop off would be next tuesday, and then they could look at it that weekend. i have never been to an rv dealer and assume their hrly rates are comparable to an auto mechanic. I was hoping someone may know what to look at, before i start putting money into it.
thanks for the reply @RedHorse1

Some searching yielded this:
https://fourwheelcampers.com/NewDome...atorManual.pdf

Not sure it’ll be very helpful but it’s something.

Something I saw on a YouTube vid was on gas or elec the pipes in the back should be pretty warm. It sounds like yours doesn’t cool on either mode so I expect the pipes won’t be heating. You say you have a pilot, mine doesn’t but has an igniter for gas.
Just a wild guess but in my mind it kinda points to the thermistor or control board. Like I said in my first post, if I disconnect my thermistor it goes to full cold.
There may be some fuses you can check in the power panel and on the control board. On elec, if you can unplug the heating element check for 120V coming out of the board. Be careful tho!

Is the thermister attached to the fins on the right hand side and is it located near the top? they have a way of falling off.

Here's a very knowledgeable mobile tech, that does great videos on troubleshooting various appliances. Here's his on the gas side of a Dometic.

And here's the link to all of his videos that he's made so far. He's very methodical in his diagnostics.

I have him in my favorites on the computer, just in case. I hope there's something he has a video on that'll help you out.

Thanks that guy was awesome. First 2 minutes in I found my issue. I would have never found that little valve nor figure out how it got turned off in the first place.
