Door or door frame out of alignment - a LOT

Due to a mishap at a campground (low clearance) my power step and consequently door/door frame was shifted out of whack.

I had a traveling RV repairman straighten out the step to where it actually works now but I think the door frame must be connected as the door deadbolt is 1 full thickness (height-wise, about 1 inch or so) above the opening. any suggestions on where to "persuade" the frame and or door to shift things a bit? i'm thinking raising the floor a touch would shift the door frame, or should I just cut a bigger hole?

The door itself looks like it's fitting fine, oddly enough. I'm not seeing anything that would look like it's out of alignment to that degree.

I looked at it the next day and it wasn't as far as I thought. I loosened all of the torx/allen screws on the side of the door where the latch is as well as on the door frame where the "bolt" that the latch connects to is located.

I also loosened the Phillips screws on the inside where the locking mechanism/door handles are located. Once all of that was loosened, i was able to shift the whole locking mechanism down sufficiently. Test closed it several times then tightened everything up.
