Electrical Connection Cleaning

I know I saw something in a thread on the forum about the best way to clean your AC electrical connections but now that I want to re-read it to prepare to clean mine, I can't find it. I believe it was titled something like "When was the last time you cleaned your connections" or something like that. Does this ring a bell for anyone or does anyone have any advice for cleaning and maintaining your shore power plugs?

Don't recall that post. In the past I use 180 grit emory cloth (cloth based sand paper). Based on what all the electricians have said.

I cleaned my plug this spring with a pneumatic die grinder with a Roloc Unitized wheel. Man it did a fabulous job. You can chuck it up in a drill too, just a bit more challenging to hold everything.

Thanks for the replies. This is something that hadn't crossed my mind before I saw that post so I have never done it. Towards the top of the list this year.
