Electrical Problem

Hello,

Just recently, my inside lights and slide out stopped operating when connected to the batteries. Although the batteries are new and operate the electric tongue jack. For my interior lights and slide out to work, I must connect the trailer either to my towing vehicle or to land power. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mark

Fuse or battery disconnect switch between battery bank and inside power panel ( or fuse on power distribution box between battery supply and interior equipment load )

Toung jack is probably wired to battery bank ahead of fuse ( or it's own fuse )

Check battery ground wire for corrosion. As mentioned by Jmooney, check the 30amp fuse at the battery (recommend carrying a spare).

Electric tongue jack also has it's own ground.

Have you removed your batteries recently - You may have reconnected them in REVERSE POLARITY or sparked the leads coming from the converter/charger unit.

Check for an IN-LINE fuse very close to the battery terminals and also check on the 12VDC FUSE PANEL for two fuses labeled REVERSE POLARITY. These two fuses are usually off the them self.

If the tongue jack is working which is directly connected to the battery terminal then there is a DISCONNECT (Blown FUSE) somewhere between the batteries and the 12VDC FUSE PANEL
