Electrical tape on wire loom

I was getting nasty black streaks when moving the living room slide in and out.
Jayco Precept 31 UL
Took the front of the slide front off inside.
They wrapped electrical tape around the plastic wire loom. It was melting and making a mess. It made a mess removing it.

Guess tie wraps or wire looms cost too much. Sheesh, back in the day I learned how to tie wire bundles up with cord. Kinda surprised they bothered to tie the wires together at all.
