Exterior Floor Repair
OK folks I need a bit of insight here. We have a X17Z, older model with the two access doors to storage. After driving through rain we were filling up. As always I do a complete walk around. I notice water dripping from the front right side of the camper. I looked under and the water was dripping from a point in the black membrane. There is an area about 5-6 inches around that is a bit soft and swollen. The laminated floor in the storage area right above it is rock solid. So, I think some road debris damaged the membrane and the last few years a bit of water has been seeping in while driving in rain.
It looks like there are two layers of floor. In searching here, it sound like there is insulation between them. The soft area is far enough away from the sides that my plan was to cut open the membrane, cut out the wood, remove/replace the insulation that needs it, glue/screw/attach a new piece of exterior grade plywood then seal the whole area back up.
It doesn't look like there is any load bearing in the area. Can some verify for me what the floor construction is on the hybrid TTs
Thanks,
Greg
