Second time, just had it fixed under warranty also. PIA dragging it 80 miles & who knows how long to fix it. I need the switch & possibly the motor, also round screen plastic tab broke off when removing it so its not secure. Anyone one know if I can order this fan motor assembly? IMG_3562.jpg
this might be the correct part, but I would call Atwood direct and ask to make sure. Just buy it. 80 miles of gas is way to much money and time compared to 40$
So this POS fan I have is known as the EZ Breeze power roof vent. A flimsy cheap plastic fan that is minimal in function & also prone to water leak when vent is closed. Its supposed to keep water out but I found some drops of water coming in during a severe storm I was in. I can get an entire replacement for $81.25 , have it warrantied fixed again, or replace it with a fanastic fan. I may do the later if I can't fix it myself. I suspect it is the momentary switch that is bad, a cheap part that cost less than $2.00. I'm glad I got the option of this vent when I bought the T.T. ($75 extra) mainly because I don't have to cut a hole in the roof if I go the Fantastic fan route. Its a 14 x 14" opening already. https://www.amazon.com/Atwood-800600.../dp/B00RBWQH4I https://www.rvupgradestore.com/EZ-Br...-p/22-0659.htm
If you have one in your unit I snapped a few pic's so you can see whats up in the vent area. First pic, vent is closed, second, vent open. Momentary switch #s (this is the culprit for my issue. I had a screen tab break off so it was loose fitting. I glued the screen onto the unit to fix, so no rattle. IMG_357IMGIMG_3572.jpg_3575.jpg4.jpg
I fixed the fan myself. Turns out the switch was bad & had a poor contact due to one of the terminals that the wires plug into were loose inside the plastic cap fitting that held it in place. This explains why it would work for a couple of tries & than stop altogether. The contact plate that is under those terminals would make contact & than loose contact with the plate & nothing would happen. I bought a momentary switch for 99 cents & swapped out the 2 post terminal portion & bingo! The cap screws on & off, just don't lose the tiny spring assembly under it. You can see the darker post that was making intermittent contact. https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/a...1&d=1512837888
