First trip, first damage

We took our 2017 262bhw out for our first trip this weekend and on the way back ran over a lice of 2x4 on the freeway.
It put a 3” dent on front aluminum siding and broke the fresh water main drain valve. It snapped it right where the hose connects to the valve.
I have a live if the valve still inside the hose but can remove it once I cut the pex strat off.
Anyone know where I can get another valve same kind? Here is a pic I found from another thread of the exact one I have

Here's one source Amazon Drain Valve.

Those valves are very common. It's likely that any RV dealer in your area should have one; also, they are inexpensive and easy to replace.

You might edit your post - I think spell check did some oddities to your post.

Personally, I have never liked theses valves. The deteriorate, and tend to break. I would go to the hardware store and look for a full flow 1/4 turn brass ball valve. It would drain a lot faster and hold up to the elements better.

Mine has a metal shield in front of it to deflect road debris. Never had a problem with one except it's very slow to drain.

I agree with a better valve, these take a really long time to drain.

This is exactly what I did. Those valves are junk. You may have to do some fiddling around to adapt the new valve to your hose and mount it where you want it. I had to move mine out closer to the side of the trailer so I didn't have to get down on one knee to reach in and turn it.

First trip out after getting our 2014 White Hawk, we headed to the Blueridge pkwy. Stopped SE of Ashville at a Walmart just 30 miles or so from an access point onto the pwky. After stocking up on groceries and supplies for our week out, I stopped the shopping card on a sidewalk along the side of the TT to unload. Of course a gust of wind and a slight slope and before I could put down a case of bottled water it crunched into the side skirt just below the bedroom window. It left a 3 inch horizontal dent. No biggie but always a pi*ser when you get that first Boo boo. O well it was the first but there have been a few more, fortunately no real damage that couldn't be fixed by a DIY project.

A broken drain valve is one of those "no biggie" things. You should feel fortunate that the 2x4 didn't do some real damage. Got to find a way to smile, at least that's what my wife says when I lose it.
