Floor Replacement

I want to replace the carpet in our 2004 class CC with a laminate. The dealer selling the flooring is concerned about clearance under the slide.
Has anyone had a problem with this clearance when replacing the carpet with laminated or vinyl flooring?

I have a Hybrid with a slide but I didn't replace the vinyl, I added to it. I installed a 5/8" soft floor over the vinyl one for my dog to make it softer, quieter and warmer for my feet at night when I'm barefoot. I have no problem with the extra 5/8" of height added to the floor. The slide goes over it and never touches it going in or out. It's been installed for a year now and no damage from the slide but this is not a floor for high traffic 24/7 but great for the 3 of us and still looks new.

I have no experience, but I know that vinyl floor covering is thinner than carpeting as is most all laminate.

Not that you asked...

If you go with vinyl be aware that most all travel trailer vinyl flooring is loose laid. Because the areas are so small there is really no reason to glue it down.
