FLXguard on awning? worth it?

Replacing original Carefree awning on our 2011 X18D. Does anyone have any experience with the FLXguard awning wrap? Adds $110-$130 to the cost ,but is it worth the added expense over the Vinyl Weather-guard? Camper stored outside in southern climate, perhaps I should invest in a cover.

Also changing color from Shale Fade Camel(tan) to blue in same design. Any thoughts?

Anything that will protect the awning material from UV damage is worth it. I wish I had that on my other 5er awning. Just my opinion.
