Friction hinges on entry door

Hi All, new to the forum here. We took delivery on our 2018 Eagle 327 CKTS just after Thanksgiving. Just got back from a 10 day trip over New Years with many days not getting above 40 degrees!

Really like the new unit, no major issues, just have one minor, this is the first unit with these friction hinges. I want to like them but... there is just too much friction. When you shut the door you have to slam it. Since the hinges don't completely "relax" when the door is closed the latch is under constant outward pressure.
Several times after closing the door I had to push it before I could hear the latch engage.

I tried adding some silicone, didn't seem to help any.

Has anyone found a way to adjust these things?

I like the concept but they really need to engage when the door is say half open rather than be tight throughout the complete range.

Thanks for any suggestions

Mark

We don't have those same hinges on ours but suggest contacting Jayco customer support or a dealer for a replacement or other solution.
