Question Fridge Alarm

Hi. I want to keep my fridge door open when I have it stored to prevent mold. When I did this I turned it off first. When I came back the alarm was sounding. It shut off when I hooked up to my truck and connected the power to my truck. I want to know how I can keep the doors open and not have the alarm sound. Do I need to disconnect the battery every time?

Thanks for your assistance.

Fridge Alarm

What kind of alarm? Neither of my Jayco campers had fridge alarms...

Could it be the carbon monoxide sensor alarming because you left the trailer battery connected and it was getting low? That would explain the alarm stopping once you plugged in to your truck. Yes leaving the battery connected for longer periods prolly isn't the best.

As mentioned, when the fridge is off it's off for all functions--read no alarms of any kind.
If it's a Norcold fridge, there is on most of them small plastic keepers just under the handles that when set will keep doors open just enough to prevent them from closing.
Many owners will keep a box of Arm & Hammers baking soda in the fridge all the time to prevent buildup of mold, mildew, moisture.

Fridge alarm? Hmmm, maybe it's just me, but I've never heard of it.
