Fridge light voltage problem

It appeared the fridge bulb was burnt out. Pulled the bulb, it looks okay, but that doesn't guarantee anything so I got a new bulb. Went with LED. It just barely lights up, very dim. So I got out my voltmeter and the terminals are good for 10.00V. But not much current, because even a 9V battery lights up the bulb *much* brighter.

Aside from that the fridge & freezer runs fine. Ice cold on electric right now, was ice cold last weekend on propane.

Anybody run into this or something similar? Got any ideas or clues?

Also -- voltage elsewhere in the trailer is 13.2V, so it's not a system-wide issue.

Possible bad connection on the control board behind the fridge. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the plugs on that board. The power for that light could also go through the eyebrow board right above the door. Also possible to have a defective or poorly connected door switch.

You're a genius, thanks! As soon as you mentioned the switch, a light bulb went on in my head (ha!) and I decided to go investigate that more thoroughly. Seems like the odds are in favor of the one physical part of the circuit being the most likely failure point. Sure enough, I flicked the switch on/off a bunch of times and then the bulb came on full bright. So I just need to locate a replacement switch.

Thanks again!

Edit: Easy to find that switch, but everyone wants 40 bucks or more for it. What a ripoff!

If there is a part number you can see on the switch, go to mouser or digikey on the internet to see if they have. From a components perspectives this is who most firms go to to locate one off or small volume components.
