Grabbing brake issue.

Brand new 2021 287bhs. Had my dealer setup the brake controller in my truck upon purchase. Very few miles on the unit 500ish. I have 1 brake (front axle door side) that gets very hot during travel and extremely grabby when applied. Any idea what would cause this issue. My dealer is trying to say its a brake controller issue but the controllers don't distinguish wheels. They merely apply power to the harness which controls all the axles at once. Tried to tell me its a bad bearing even after I explained if the wheel will only spin if I back the brake off which stops the problem until the brake seams to self adjust until its over tight. Any help would greatly be appreciated or even explain to me how or why my thinking of this scenario is wrong. TY

Brake shoes may be adjusted to tight. Jack it up and try to spin the wheel.

The one wheel in question is self adjusting to tight from what I can tell. Its dragging this brake in transit for some reason. I've backed it off only to have it readjust itself back up on a 15 mile trip. Last portion of our trip in the camp ground it was locking the tire up and extremely hot. I jack it up every trip and have to mess with it. Could only spin a quarter turn by hand then locked up. I'm at a loss right now. Not relly sure what to do.

Just posting to see replies-
We have one wheel that often locks up when the others don't. We have had it gone over by 2 different shops, and they said everything's fine.

One time I had to stop short, and the tire smoked up so bad that it went all the way across the next lane.

I turn the controller down to the point that the brakes are barely stopping, but would like to find a solution.

Could be an out of round brake drum.

The same thing happened to me when I first bought my Jayco 27RLS.

It turned out that the brake controller was installed upside down. I reinstalled it properly and that solved the problem.
