Question Greyhawk 31FK microwave

Although we love our front kitchen, the noise when underway from the jiggling microwave is excessive. As it is suspended, rather than enclosed in a cabinet, I also wonder if it will eventually fall down. I remove everything from within when traveling. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this or better yet, remedied it.

I only wish I could hear my microwave in my TT when underway... but seriously, have you considered putting something inside it to muffle the sound? Perhaps some paper towels or a loaf of bread, etc.? I bet it would keep the turntable from making rattling sounds.

I am curious when you say it is suspended. Are there not 4 legs resting on the inside of the cabinet? The front panels are usually just to hold it in place. Is it possible those panels are loose where they attach to the micro?

The microwave isn't in a cabinet. It's a microwave/fan which is mounted by a bracket to the wall of the RV. Just not a good design. There is a kitchen cabinet above, but the microwave is not attached to it.

Does it look like mine?... Mine does not move one iota... If you are still under warranty I would take it back to the dealer...

Try folding a pillow and putting it inside the Micro...

I belive your missing 2 screws or they are loose. Thre should be 2 screws down thru the cabinet into the top of micro to secure it. check fig. 25 next to page 7.

Thumbs up

You all are great. I will check the microwave tomorrow, RV is in storage, and look for the screws that should be into the overhead cabinet. Seeing the manual really helped! If they aren't there, problem solved. Being a FK, I don't think we have the piece of cabinet separating the mic from the TV like the SS, eliminating that as a place for stabilizing screws. After checking it out, I can probably fix myself or I'll call the dealer. Once again, many thanks for the help.

spikehorn - have a off topic question... we considered the 31FK but were concerned with the range of motion (front to back and recline) of the co-pilot seat. Are there cabinets or the Refrig that block that seat? Hope the suggestions get that microwave quieted down and SECURE.

Haven't checked the posts lately. The co-pilot seat can recline but not swivel. The pantry cupboard is directly behind it which does limit some of its mobility. Neither driver nor co-pilot seats swivel which in our old Class C was an asset.
