My 26BH lost voltage at the thermostat and I found that the thermostat gets its feed from the furnace. I had to remove the couch, remove the panel from the top of the furnace and find the reset switch. I flipped the switch off, then back on and it restored power to the furnace and thermostat. I don't know why Jayco buried the switch but I know what to look for now.

Thanks so much! That will be tomorrow 's project when we get home. My husband is thinking he will rewire it so there is a switch on the outside of the box so next time we don't have to take the couch and wooden box off to reset it!
Thanks to everyone that helped with the troubleshooting...appreciate all the help and ideas!

Quick question for Iraqvet05...
Do you remember if the switch was on top...if so, near the middle, left side or right side? We are trying to figure out if we can get to it without taking off the couch. We videoed with our phone inside the box and it looks like it is in the back left corner. We are wondering if we can take a shallow cutting knife and cut a small hole in the luan and just fit our finger through and flip the switch. Could it be that easy or are we missing something? Thanks so much for your help!

I'll jump in, if my memory is worth anything, I believe it's on the right side top corner, nearest the wall as you're looking at it from the backside (or from inside the TT). Does that make any sense??? It should be a rocker type switch.

Success! My husband used a utility knife, cut a hole where we thought it was, and sure enough, there it was! Flipped the switch and everything is working fine. Thanks so much for everyone's help!

Glad to hear you got it fixed! I need to cut an access hole in mine. I've only had to reset it once in 4 years so that's not a bad record.

Does anyone have any ideas why this happens? Is it something to do with the power pedestals maybe??

No, it's on the 12v side.

I believe mine tripped when I attempted to install a Honeywell home thermostat. My DW was pissed because we didn't have A/C until I figured out how to temporarily get 12V to the thermostat.

Thanks, guys. Its good to know it's not on the 120v circuit. Things like this aren't explained during the PDI, and if it wasn't for the vast experience here, we'd be paying the shop to flick a switch we didn't even know existed. Gonna look at the furnace manual to see if it's mentioned there.

All new units come with manuals...........read them! And if not....then go online to get them by the appropriate appliance manufacturer.

I don't believe the switch is mentioned in the Atwood furnace manual. Even if it were, Jayco made it very difficult to access.

The electrical diagrams are in the manuals. That Jayco doesn't install the outside access door (not all models) is just a poor engineering decision to save a few bucks, it is a pain in the butt to have to remove the furnace for small problems or even service. I suggest to anyone to order an outside access door and install it. The furnace should be serviced every year in order to avoid unforeseen troubles. Through the outside access door you can remove the burner and fan assembly and easy see the fault codes.

The switch is usual on the blower motor, but if no outside access door it would be difficult to reach. The reset switch is on the TH.

We have a 24FBS. When you raise the couch, the furnace is on the left side. There is a piece of luan stapled to the top of the wood box protecting the furnace. My husband took his razor knife and cut a hole near the center
on the left side. There are wires in there so you don't want to cut too deeply. Also we ended up with small wood pieces from the cutting that we had to vacuum up afterwards. When we got home from our trip, my husband cut and mounted a new piece of wood that fit over the opening so we can easily get to it in the future. Hope this helps.
