Honey wagons

Call me lazy, but I used a honey wagon service to drain tanks before we left our water/electric campsite. I know most people would have just used the dump station, but for $15 I got it done quickly with no mess or fuss. I think the honey wagon did a better job of draining tanks than I could have, judging from my gauges. I wish honey wagons were available at more parks that don't have full hookups.

As long as the "dipper" knows what they are doing or else the could collapse the tank.. We've been to many rallies where we didn't have sewer and the operator was well versed in the proper way to empty the tanks.

We almost used one at a beach rv park in FL, but got there and the price was raised , plus they charged PER TANK. We were thinking $10 or so a day, so what the heck. Then it was something like $60, so we just got by without it.

Campground In Virginia had nice set up. The hose connector at RV was clear and the control for pump was on a long cord so he could stand at the RV and watch the flow there.
