How are you washing your 5th wheel?
Asking for ideas on what to use to wash our new Pinnacle. Some folks use a water cannon, and frankly, what I have here as a power washer would be too strong for that purpose. I saw on The LCI web site they advertise a slimmed down version of a water cannon, using batteries and a soap dispenser on the wand. First time I have seen one. trying to get away from too much elbow grease if I can help it. Dealer had said to use RV wash and Wax whenever washing.

I just use a brush on a extension pole like for washing a truck. Bucket with car wash or wash and wax, but I normally hand wax with a spray and wax with UV protectant.
Takes a bit more work to get the bugs off the front, but a good bucket of soap and brush it a couple time in a row get most of them off.

X2 here...soft brush with extension rod/handle, waterless wash/wax
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00X04JRMU...ogi&th=1&psc=1
However, I must say, the last time I had someone do it for us...due to my back...
took the guy almost all day, but he did a great job..and was fairly reasonably price...$300...for 43 ft fifth wheel...

I use a pressure washer. Pressure rinse with regular water. Wash with water cannon. Brush the front cap. Pressure rinse with deionized water.
I run the pressure washer at 1500 psi. Careful, do not use the typical 3,000 psi pressure washer.
Blow water out of seems and edges with leaf blower.
Use a spray wax, before drying.
Use Meguiars wheel cleaner. Follow that with Meguiars all season dressing. I spray the dressing on the tires and all suspension components. It prevents rust on springs.
Wax once a year with ceramic based wax.
I have a full body paint Pinnacle.

Ordered a Sun Joe SPX300 electric power washer and a MTM Hydro PF22 soap cannon. Been wanting to try one for a while, but my regular power washer is way to powerful for me to try on cars or the RV.

I use an electric 1500 psi power washer. I have looked at water cannons but so far I just soap up an area with a brush and rinse with the pw. The front cap takes more elbow grease and more energy.
When we are in the mountains at our home away from home a local company comes around and washes the roof and sides for under $100. He works his way thru the CG and others in the area.

I have read about water cannons for years, just never got around to one. I presume you also wash your undercarriage with the power washer? I have the one slide on the passenger side with pots of metal underneath, I think called flush through floor sytem that could use a little TLC and then some sort of lubricant and protection from rust.

The other product I use for cleaning is 3D Bug Remover. Works great on the toughest bugs.
Dilute to the maximum. I start with a 10:1 dilution. This cleans most bugs. On tougher bugs. I reduce the dilution. You can go all the way to 4:1.
10:1 dilution does not remove the wax. The 4:1 dilution removes the wax. When I use the 4:1, I normally follow up the treated area with a machine wax.

I may spray around there without soap but not often. The thing that turned me off on the water cannon, which I bought and returned was the cost of the recommended fluid they suggested. Over $25 for a gallon if I remember correctly. Also the one I bought said it needed more that 1500psi to work properly.

When I am doing the washing, I use the pink RV Wash and Wax and then use 303 Protectant. I found a local guy that will wash & wax our 30’ trailer for $450. A bargain for me because of the amount of time it takes me (it takes him solo about 5 hours) and looks amazing when done. I would rather use that time for the family.

Home Depot sells the Ryobi 18V rotary handheld pole washer that extends. It came with the medium bristle head however I purchased the soft bristle head. It does a great job of washing our rig, cut my time in half. I use the medium bristle head to wash the roof.
