I messed up.
Hello:
I was trying to winterize my trailer and forgot to turn the by pass valves off. I then sucked 2 gallons of antifreeze...somewhere. (Into the holding tank or?) Is this a big concern and what should I do about it. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Most likely you pumped it in to your hot water heater. I will not hurt anything. You will just have to flush the hot water tank out thoroughly next spring.
Simply set your bypass valves correctly at this point and finish filling the rest of your system with antifreeze.

Thanks for the responses and reassurance. I have enough real things to worry about, I don't need my over active imagination making things worse! (You've ruined your trailer you need to buy a new one...)

Did the same thing this year. So I got out my label printer and put a note “remember to turn on hot water heater bypass valves” on the panel I have to remove to get to the pump to suck up the antifreeze... lol... otherwise I’d do the same thing next time, I know me to well.

At least it did not go on the ground from the open low point drains like I did once.

Now with me being a miser I would turn the valves to the correct position and then drain the Hot Water Tank into a bucket and reuse the antifreeze since I always drain my tank after trips and am confident that I didn't dilute the antifreeze.

I'm two years running on that one. It just means I slip on the driveway from propylene glycol instead of ice.

Hows this one; first year of ownership on our Northpoint I was winterizing the residential fridge. I kept getting glass after glass of water out of the door dispenser. I went thru nearly 4 gallons of pink pop before my dumb a$$ realized the water filter in the fridge was still in and was working so well it filtered all the pink dye out so it looked like water filling the glass. I dumped EVERY glass full out the entry door on the driveway. Talk about a slick driveway! Lol!

Depends on what you are calling the bypass valves. If it is the wh bypass then yes,you screwed up. You have antifreeze in the wh. Not good. It must be removed. Drain the wh. 2 gal should have filled all the water lines.

this is why I just blow all all the water out of the lines, and pour a little of the anti-freeze in the traps.

Blowing is good, but you will probably still have water in your toilet valve that will freeze and break. Be sure and take it loose and drain it after you are done.
I usually just blow mine out. This year for the first time I put antifreeze in the lines instead of just the traps. Seems to be not as time consuming as blowing it out.
