Installed wet bolts today

So I did the wet bolt and shackle upgrade and canít believe the cheap crap that was used at the factory. I have about 6k miles on it and there were bushings torn apart and shackles slightly bent already. Would it really hurt Jayco to put the wet bolts on from the start? The kit was only $80.

You would think not, but every dollar spend will come of there profit. The RV demand is still high and between RV manufactures there's competition. But Thor Industries slowly buys all the RV mfg. plants.

Congrats on the install bluie! I did mine at about 8k miles and found the bushings in pretty good condition. Our 5th tips in around 13k# and I see yours is an HT so probably a little lighter. In any case I’m happy I’ve replaced them and I’m sure you are too. I find there’s something gratifying about greasing moving parts.
Safe travels.

Sorry no pics yet. Some of the old bushings were so out of shape that I had a friend of mine mill me a removal tool so I had something to pound on.

I did that on my old Sunnybrook years ago. Mine is in the shop right now having the never lube spring shackle bushings installed. I told them to replace any shackles/ bolts that were worn as well.

I am eagerly waiting to find out how they looked.
