The slide outs are not sealed when in. The carpets on the sides get covered with dust. Any suggestions?
The only furnace duct that has heat coming out of it is the one by the furnace.
The dealer said he was not able to correct either of the problem.
Does anyone have a suggestion to correct either problem?

LarryB41,

Welcome to the forums.

Not knowing how much effort the dealer put into each task, not sure where to begin.

With the slide in, check for daylight coming through in the lower corners, and the condition of the large foam seal in each lower corner at floor level. It could also be that the slide needs to be adjusted to insure uniform wall seating when closed...., or the outer frame seal needs to be replaced.

If heat is only coming out at one vent, sounds like a plugged system or the duct work has come apart at some point. What happens when you cover the vent that produces heat?

Bob

Hey Larry! Welcome to the forum. If you get a chance come on over to the new member area and introduce yourself.

Sounds like you need a new dealer if there is one nearby. While I am not sure about your slide issue, the heater should be fixable. Often times it is duct work that comes apart. Now maybe it was a bigger job than they wanted to tackle, but certainly doable.

If all else fails, you might try calling Jayco and see what they recommend.

The dealer we bought our trailer from had that same song and dance. We found a dealer with REAL techs and they had our slides working in about two hours.
