Jayco grinding noise

When turning sharp left we get a loud grinding noise. Seems like the tire may be rubbing on either the mud flap or the metal piece at the front of the tire. Anyone experienced this problem.

Get a spotter and an empty lot. After checking that you don't have a broken spring or some other reason you are low riding on that side.

Stuff in and under your Jayco is held on with a few screws and maybe a staple or two. More than one poster here has reported stuff fall apart due poor installation.

I had a rubbing noise, but mine was caused by a broken leaf spring that cost me 3 days of my summer vacation to get it fixed.

Almost forgot, crawl under and look for hangy down stuff, like water tanks, lines, bottom insulation before you head to the parking lot.

Could be a brake locked up or out of adjustment and dragging.

I would do or have someone jack the side off the ground enough to verify the bearings don't have any play in them and if not have the brakes inspected.

I had a retainer spring break on one of mine and it made a racket but I could not hear it until the hub got hot enough to bring in a high temp alarm on the TSPS.

The model of your RV would be very helpful in providing a more specific answer.

I would suspect the brake assembly may be loose and retract my original suspect of a wheel bearing. It always helps to put your rig in your sig line that way it will always be there for readers.

Good luck finding it, a truck shop may address the complaint.

I am searching for any ideas on this same rubbing issue. Just picked up a new 2022 29MV and I am getting a similar noise when turning left or right onto a city street. It happens when the rig is taking a normal turn onto a city street and there is a load on the front corner of the rig. Feels and sounds like a rub but there is no evidence of a tire rub. Any ideas? Rig is new and only has 1,100 miles on it.
