Jayco recall fix

Last year I had the dealer install a some kind of breaker to cut power if something should happen. Well they now go from the battery + terminal with a thin maybe 12g wire to the breaker and is then spliced on the output wire from the 12g wire to the thick trailer wire.
You would think that the thin wire to a thicker wire would be an issue.
Has anyone else had the repair done? Or to top it off the guy at the dealer crimped on new battery connector with Chanel lock pliers and just squeezing as hard as he could. You would think a dealer would have the right tools
