Leaf Stains On My Awning. Any Ideas On What to Use To Clean?
I had to roll up the awning on my 145RB in the rain, it was time to check out and go home. When I got home I opened the awning to let it dry in the sun. The underside of the awning (which is white) is now stained from leaves.
I've already tried some household cleaner (Spic & Span) and a brush...no luck.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

I've used a light solution of bleach and soap- takes forever. Not much fun working with bleach overhead.
I read that you can open the awning, soak the TOP with solution, then close it for a while to soak the underside. Haven't tried that yet, but sounds interesting.

That is an interesting idea. I may try that with some Oxy-Clean or something first before I go the bleach route. Thanks.

I had reasonable success using Mold Armor in the sprayer you hook to a hose. I soaked the underside and rolled it up for about a half hour then rinsed it. Did a second coat on a few spots. I would think any siding spray would be OK.

Thanks. I'll try that next. I just sprayed the awning top and underneath with Wet&Forget and rolled it up. I'll leave it overnight and then hose it off tomorrow. I've used Wet&Forget in the past on mildew and moss on my home's siding, it works.
I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

Try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser with your bleach solution. I really works well on the awning fabric.

30 seconds cleaner, it works great. Spray it on, roll up your awning for about 5 minutes, then open up and rinse off. Stubborn stains may take a little elbow grease, but your white awning will SHINE when its done.

Agree, I use a bleach solution, roll it up for a few hours then unroll and rinse.

Update*
The Wet&Forget which has the same ingredients as 30 Seconds cleaner removed some of the lighter stains. I sprayed the awning again with Wet&Forget and rolled it up. Later today I'm going to try Magic Eraser on the darker stains. If that doesn't work...I'm moving onto a bleach solution.
Thanks eveyone for your suggestions.

Do yourself a favor and find LA's Totally Awesome. Works awesome on black streaks and leaf marks. Find it at the dollar store. You may have to dilute it a bit but it's the best for RV staining. It has never let me down..not once. And it doesn't just remove "most" of it. It removes it all. Thank me later.

What he said ^^^^^^^^^^ Totally Awesome is great stuff. It dissolves black streaks like they event aren't there!! For a buck a bottle at the dollar store you can't beat it! Only downside is that it will remove not only the black streaks but any wax. I just do some touch up waxing when I use it.

There seems to be other Totally Awesome products available on their website.
Thanks

You may want to dilute it. I cut it 50/50 with water for general cleaning. A little stronger for stubborn stains.

I purchased a 32 oz. bottle of Totally Awesome at Dollar Tree for $1. Per instructions on the bottle I diluted it 10:1 for vinyl. I sprayed it on the stains today. I'll rinse it tomorrow...fingers crossed.
