Lights (Interior, Running, Brake etc...)

I have a new travel trailer and I have been battling with a running light working intermittently. I have LED exterior running lights and brake lights. Voltage is good at the light connection. Only had one of the 13 running lights not working. I took the light out and connected it directly to a 12VDC source and it still lights intermittently, might work fine, come back latter and test again and will not light. When it is not working I tested the 12VDC on the LED circuit card and 12VDC is present. Thinking I might have a cold solder joint I re-soldered the wire connection but the testing was the same, sometimes it works and other times it will not. Conclusion is faulty light.

The dealer is 2 hours away so instead of going the warranty claim route I figured I would just buy the replacement light online and install it. I had the part number off the light so how hard could this be. Finding the exact replacement light was a lot harder than I would have thought, Amazon, google, eBay, and every online trailer parts store a came across, all with no luck. Certainly would be nice if you could buy OEM parts directly from Jayco online.

Reason for this post is I stumbled across the company “Command Electronics” that sells all the OEM lights for my trailer, interior LED dome lights, running lights, porch light, brake lights etc.. so I figured I would pass on my find in case someone else is trying to find OEM replacement lights online.

The Lights — Command Electronics

That was a nice find, and the website says they make 80% of their products in the USA, will bookmark this one for the future. Thanks.

Really appreciate the post and information. I save all vendors in a Word file just in case my browser craps out. Twice on upgrades I have lost all of my favorites.
