Lippert E-Z Lube Dust Cap Replacement

I few weeks ago I had posted how I lost a wheel when all five studs that the lug nuts were mounted on sheared off. It also took the dust cap with it and now I am attempting to find a replacement beyond whar the local brake shop sold me to get down the road. It does not allow access to the zerk fitting.

I checked etrailer.com and after measuring mine, I determined it's a 1.99" diameter cap. It looks like it should be at or just over 1" like my photo indicates but everything I'm seeing mentions Dexter and everything I have is Lippert. I'm not opposed to getting the Dexter cap but I figured a Lippert cap would match better. I even checked eBay and everything seems to come up Dexter for this cap replacement. Am I beating a dead horse by trying to find Lippert?

The pictures are off one of the other tires. I have a 2016 X254 tandem axle TT.Click image for larger version

Try a local boat dealer, their parts dept may have 'em. My local boat dealer has a choice or 2 as lots of boat trailers have similar zerk fittings.

Dexter works for me. I was just trying to stay OEM where I can. Thanks for the input. I live a few miles from Lake Michigan and the St. Joseph River so the boat stores should be close as well. That will become my next attempt before I retreat back to the internet.

Dexter makes more axles than lippert, they are a well regarded company, and the sizes should be standard.

I had one fall off the first time out with the trailer. The dealer wanted me to bring the trailer in (50 miles each way). However we where told we would have to wait 6-8 weeks to be scheduled in for service. I asked them to order the parts we know we need and I will repair/replace them. After 3 weeks they couldn't even get the parts as they are waiting for an OK from the vendor Lippert, to ship it to Jayco and then to the dealer. This is what they told us. In my opinion it's typical dealer BS with warranty repair requiring parts

I contacted Lippert customer service. They asked for the trailer VIN, and for me to take a picture of the sticker on the axle. I had two of them gratis the next day. Super customer support from Lippert.

The black on the wheel was all grease that had flung out.

Thanks for the info. I ordered a pair on Ebay that aren't here yet for under $5. I'm going to try your method/contact info though that you provided and see what I learn.
