Little kitchen faucet problem

Folks, a while ago, I took the little thing off the kitchen faucet that aerates the water and has some screens in it to ward off pieces of stuff in the water. However, when we went to put it back on, it won't stay on, it works fine for a while and then pops off, spewing water all over the place. I haven't taken a look at the Jayco parts stuff, but was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and, if so, what did you do about it. Don't know if I am just dumb or I need to get something to fix it. This is the kitchen faucet in a 2012 Jayco SuperLite HT 26.5 RLS.

The only thing I can think of is the threads are striped on the aerator. I think you can just buy the aerator at your local hardware store.

Sometimes, when you remove the aerator washer and screens, the washer won't seat properly when you replace it. If it doesn't seat all the way down, it can prevent the aerator threads from properly grabbing onto the faucet spout. You might try removing the washer and screens, then reinserting them; making sure you push both down all the way to the bottom of the aerator. That should expose enough of the threads to grab onto the spout. And be sure to tighten it down with a pair of pliers - protecting the aerator from scratches with a cloth or rubber shelf liner. Otherwise, it can work itself loose. If that doesn't work, the threads may be stripped on either the aerator (replace it as Tunce has suggested), or the faucet (try Loc-tite or replace the faucet).

I "may" have taken care of it by cutting the "neoprene" washer in half and re-inserting the whole thing back in the faucet. It has now grabbed and screwed all the way in which it wouldn't do before. Don't know if I was just too weak or something else happened. It had the "neoprene" washer in it before we had the problem and it worked fine. Guess I won't take the aerator off anymore. Hopefully it's fixed. Thanks for the comments.
