Main entry door won't unlock

Did a search here on this problem and found no one else with this issue. My entry door won't open. I've sprayed wd 40 on top an bottom key holes. The keys turn all the way freely left to right on top latch and bottom deadbolt but will not open. I was able to get in through my hatch door under my bunks and took off the cover and still couldn't see where the latch goes into the frame. I tried to push the whole assembly out the hole in the door but started binding and I didn't want to damage anything. Thankfully were not out on a camping trip so i'll call the dealer and make an appointment(warranty). I'll let you know how I make out in case others have a similar problem. I don't mine crawling back in if someone else has any ideas.

Problem solved I hope. I gave it another try this morning turning the key numerous times a trying to open the door. This time I gave the bottom of the door a little pull to see if maybe it was jammed in the framework and heard a sound like the rubber seal was stuck to the wall. I gave it another tug and it opened right up. All I did was wash the trailer the day before with carwash. I turned the key numerous more times to make sure the latch was working properly. Now i'm going the clean the rubber seal with something so it won't happen again. Any ideas on what might be a good product.

Glad you figured it out....BTW, the same thing will happens to windows with a rubber seal (especially emergency exit windows that compress with a lever ask me how I know....).

For a product to try that will eliminate seizing - Spray Silicone wont harm rubber or aluminum, it's water repellent, and it sure wont stick. Use it sparingly (spray into a cloth and wipe on / wipe off) or you could attract dirt.

Bigbird - At least now you know how to get into the trailer if you have too... On my fifth wheel I had to send a neighbor campers kid thru the dirty laundry drop hole one time... That was scary for me as you never know if you could talk the kid to get back out if you couldn't get the door unlocked haha... Had my small crow bar handy just in case...

Also, check the adjustment on latch catches on the door. Mine worked loose and the door was catching/sticking when trying to open the door. A little trial and error readjustment with a Philips head screwdriver and all was working well again.

Thanks for all the advice. Somehow I think the washjob I did had something to do with it because I was in the trailer just the day before. Crawling in through the bunk hatch wasn't to bad but after all i'm no spring chicken anymore.
