More winterizing questions
I have always winterized my trailers using RV antifreeze which has worked well. This year with our new trailer (2016 North Point 311) I have decided to use the air method. I'm doing this because of the residential refrigerator. It has a filter cartridge and I do not have a bypass for it. Rather than destroy a $40.00 cartridge, I figured I'd blow the lines out this time. My concern is that in the owner's manual it says to set the knobs on city water to blow the lines. According to the manual that will prevent air from going into the fresh water tank and the water heater. This doesn't make sense to me. Seems as though on city water setting there would still be access to the water heater. Wouldn't it be better to set the knobs to winterize? Is this a mistake in the manual or am I just missing something. Thanks in advance for your advice.
